Hi! My name is Peyton Martin, and I am a Student Athletics Photographer at the University of Oklahoma. I graduated Summa cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Spanish minor from Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication in May of 2026.

I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, and graduated from Desert Vista High School in May of 2023. I started pursuing sports photography in seventh grade and fell in love with telling the unique stories of every team on my campus through photos. After serving as the Sports Editor for the yearbook, I decided to pursue a career as a sports photographer at the University of Oklahoma in hopes of impacting the historic athletic department.

I was hired as the first-ever Student Athletics Photographer for OU Photo in August of 2023 after the department’s creation and am currently in my fourth year. As a Student Athletics Photographer, I have covered all 19 sports in both game coverage and studio shoots and have had opportunities to cover the 2025 College Football Playoff, 2024 & 2025 Women’s College World Series, 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, ESPN College GameDay, and the 2023 Valero Alamo Bowl.
